While You are looking to trading your home
Jan 16, 2010

If you can't sell your home and while you are looking to trade your
home with someone else, you will still be required to pay mortgage
payments even if you have to move and leave your home vacant.   Though
you maybe living somewhere temporarily and are yearning to move on with
your life, you will need to deal with either selling or trading your
home.  Take this time to talk to your lender. Ask about how to
restructure your loan payment or refinance.   If you are hesitant to
talk to your lender yourself, engage the assistance of a trusted family
member. If that proves to be unfeasible If you are unsure how to do
this, work with a real estate professional, ask an agent or broker if
they have experience in how to "negotiate" with your lender, a lawyer
may assist sometimes.  These professionals will charge a fee, look for
one that charges an amount equal to 5% or less of what they negotiate
from the bank.

Always work closely with your lawyer
whether you have a real estate agent or not working with you on the
alternative methods to transfer ownership of home.  Never agree to
cease contact with your attorney when dealing with complicated
financial matters.
